Our History
Pastor Richard Moudy and First Lady Cheryl Moudy have been in the ministry for almost 40 years. They have called several churches home, serving in various capacities including: Sunday school teachers, Worship leader, Young marrieds teacher, and many other roles.
God called the Moudys to Seneca, Missouri in September 2001. Pastor Moudy immediately began leading the church forward. In blessing after blessing, God moved and revival began in Seneca.
The name of Turning Point Church has become the mission, as we strive to be a place of hope and a place of healing for the hopeless and the hurting of our communities. Our deepest desire is to be a place of restoration and refreshing.
The Way We Worship:
We pray together aloud because in the Bible we read “They lifted up their voice to God with one accord.” (Acts 4:24)
We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” (Psalms 134:2)
We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises.” (Psalms 98:4)
We play musical instruments because in the Bible we read “And all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments.” (II Samuel 6:5)
We clap and shout unto God because in the Bible we read “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” (Psalms 47:1)
We dance before the Lord because in the Bible we read “Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.” (Psalms 150:4)
We anoint with oil for divine healing because in the Bible we read “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
(James 5:14)
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God.
We believe there is only one God. He is the Creator of heaven and earth. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit).

We believe in water baptism by full immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.
Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-47
We believe Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away his church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.

We are a Bible-based, Spirit-filled Church. We believe God changes people’s lives through the power of his Holy Spirit. This includes physical and emotional healings, deliverance from addictions, restoration of relationships, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost as found in Acts 2:38.
It is our sincere desire to serve as a place of hope and a place of healing for the lost and hurting as we strive to meet the spiritual needs of our communities.
